• 1998 veröffentlichte die IFLA die Functional requirements for bibliographic records (FRBR). Seitdem wird FRBR als Rahmenkonzept für Bibliothekskataloge diskutiert. 2009 wurde in Italien ein neues Regelwerk zur Formalerschließung veröffentlicht, die Regole italiane di catalogazione (REICAT). Ähnlich wie das Regelwerk RDA, bauen die REICAT auf den Prinzipien von FRBR auf. Im Zentrum der REICAT steht dementsprechend die Identifikation aller Werke und ihrer Manifestationen. Nach einem kurzen Exkurs zu FRBR werden in dieser Arbeit die REICAT im Detail vorgestellt. Es wird auf die Implementierung der FRBR im Regelwerk eingegangen und Vergleiche mit den beiden Regelwerken RDA und RAK-WB werden angestellt. Im Anschluss folgt eine Analyse der Anwendung der REICAT im italienischen Verbundsystem Servizio Bibliotecario Nazionale (SBN).
• In 1998 the IFLA published the Functional requirements for bibliographic records (FRBR). Since then the FRBR model has been discussed as a framework for library catalogues. The new Italian cataloguing code Regole italiane di catalogazione (REICAT) was published in 2009. Like RDA, the REICAT are based on the principles of the FRBR model and are centred around the identification of all works and their manifestations. After giving a short introduction to the FRBR model, this Bachelor thesis aims to present the REICAT in detail and to show the implications of the FRBR model for the REICAT. In the course of this, comparisons between REICAT and the cataloguing codes RDA and RAK-WB are drawn. This is followed by an analysis of the implementation of the REICAT in the Italian library network Servizio Bibliotecario Nazionale (SBN).
