• Diese Arbeit stellt im Kern Best Practice- Beispiele innovativer Dienstleistungen Öffentlicher Bibliotheken und bibliotheksnaher Organisationen vor. Hierzu werden vorab Begriffsdefinitionen und Kernaufgaben von Öffentlichen Bibliotheken herausgearbeitet. Im Anschluss daran, werden wesentliche gesellschaftliche Trends und Entwicklungen analysiert und vorgestellt. Anhand dieser und weiterer dargestellter Kriterien wird ein Bewertungskatalog, zur Untersuchung von Dienstleistungen, auf Ihren Innovations- und Best Practice- Charakter entwickelt. Der Bewertungskatalog wird im Anschluss – durch mathematische Gewichtung und Berechnung – als Benchmarking- Instrument verwendet. Auf dieser Grundlage werden Angebote Öffentlicher Bibliotheken und bibliotheksnaher Einrichtungen überprüft und für besonders geeignet befundene Dienstleistungen, mit Best Practice- Charakter, näher vorgestellt. Im letzten Teil der Bachelorthesis erfolgt die Auswertung einer erstellten und durchgeführten Umfrage, sowie die Vorstellung von Interviewaussagen. Für Umfrage und Interview wurden alle mit Dienstleistungen vorgestellten Organisationen angeschrieben. Ziel dieses abschließenden Teils ist es Anhaltspunkte zu ermitteln, in welchem Umfeld und mit welchen Grundorientierungen innovative Dienstleistungen in Öffentlichen Bibliotheken entstehen.
• The main part of this work is the description of Best Practice – examples from innovative Services in Public Libraries and library associated Organisations. Therefore first of all terms will be defined and core functions of Public Libraries will be worked out, followed by an analysis of essential trends and evolutions in society. An evaluation catalogue is based on those and further constituted criteria, and is used for analyse the innovation- and Best Practice- character of services. This catalogue forms a Benchmark-instrument, through mathematical weighting and calculation, which allows to identify especially matching services of Public Libraries and library associated Organisations: the Best Practices. These services will then be described in more detail. The last part of the Bachelorthesis consists of the evaluated resulted of a carried out survey and quotations from interviews. For the survey and the interviews, all organisations, which are presented with services in this thesis, were contacted via E-Mail letters. The aim of this conclusive part is, to find out more about: in which environment and with which basic orientations, innovative Services in Public Libraries are developed.
